Montana's spring hatch cycle is now in full swing. The Mother's day caddis exploded off of the Yellowstone a few days ago and is starting to show up on the Madison river as well. The
fly fishing in Montana can be absolutely epic when conditions are right in the spring. This year we have a lot of snow so the Yellowstone will likely blow out soon as low elevation snow pack begins to melt off. The Madison should be a great option for several weeks since the dams on the river protect it from run off longer than the Yellowstone.
